Never used Jormungandr so I cant comment. Used the harrower until I got a shard gun. Anu also has the best(now that I think about it perhaps the only) shotguns. Not so much since they got buffed but I still get use out of virus weapons. Virus dmg used to be my go too tool for fighting Scylla. Melee weapons can do some good dmg if you can get close. I forgot to mention synderion has the best weapons for inflicting paralysis.Īnu=they got dibs on the acid and virus department. A vehicle takes up too much space IMO and needs a 2nd ship to deliver. Their aspida is good for capturing live aliens and healing troops. Id rather just use one plane so I have room for an air combat ship on the same base. If you have 2 per base and send them both on a mission that could work. Useless for air combat because of how weak it is. Their ship is quick but it only fits 5 people. Use dash to get close to something, vanish for the sneak attack buff, then fire away with a shotgun. I do love an assault/infiltrator with the thief skill and stealth augments. Mainly a sniper/infiltrator who is sitting way in the back. I found better uses for mixing it with another class. Stealth tech, they got all the good stuff. Mainly mist repellers and bonus to energy generation. I also feel they have some of the best tech for the world map. Synedrion=their guns are great at a distance but lack the punch on armor.

I do like their walls upgrade that gives me more time to reach a haven being attacked. It really sucks to have a heavy with a disabled arm on that long ass mission. The turrets are nice but I also like how he can repair disabled limbs.

The technician I like how he is a free medic. That or a purification grenade are great for blocking off a choke point. I'll use the flamethrower to mess around or on base defense missions. It's got more armor and health than manticore but it's not as slow as the anu blimp. The Thunderbird is one of my favorite ships to use for air combat. Such as the laser attachment that almost never miss's. I also like New Jerichos armor for heavies as well as their armor weapons. Lvling up I prefer the snedrion sniper rifle because of the higher accuracy. The raven sniper rifle I feel is my favorite sniper, besides scorpion, on top tier snipers. If I am planning on being at a distance I use synedrion guns. The piranha is my favorite assault rifle if I can get close. New Jericho=seems to have more armor piercing weapons that suck at further ranges. Rage boost priest seems great but I always get this stuff too late in the campaign to do much with it. Melee is fun in theory but annoying in practice, need that torso to make melee 1ap I feel, not sure how great the meat based mutations are compared to cybernetics.

I've honestly not tried their weird support vehicle.Īnu- I'm curious about them now because the last patch made some of their stuff kind of interesting. Crossbows themselves not only have pistol level inaccuracy but terrible magazine sizes which really cuts into the benefits of a 1AP weapon and pandorans evolve high perception heads mid game. Infiltrator is fun though even with the spider mines I feel like they fall off late game too many things become poison resistant so their second tier crossbow feels situational. Overall I think it's still worth it, they have my favorite sniper rifle. Synedrion- Kind of the opposite, where their laser guns are very accurate but have terrible armor shred. The technician feels more useful as a secondary class because the turret throw is pretty far down the progression. I do like using their mini gun with virologist perk and cybernetics are fun if you can afford to equip them. It feels like there's few opportunities to play on their strengths. But in practice I've found that the guns just miss too often. Their second tier gets armor piercing counterparts which should scale well late game. New Jerhico- their weapons seem to trade accuracy for more damage. Which faction do you feel has the 'best' tech? I'm aware you can just raid factions for their tech instead of sucking up to get it (though helping them is more fun thematically).
